WPT Grand Prix de Paris Day 1b Chip Counts And GPI Ranks

Day 1b has ended here in Paris, and we were happy to see that lots of the big names that had busted on day 1a, came back on day 1b thanks to the possibility to re-entry.

With a field of 228 entrants, it won’t be the biggest WPT of all times. But it might be one of the most prestigious one, the considering the names still in for day 2.

Not only the GPI top 5 will come back, with Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier, Dan Smith and Stephen O’Dwyer succeeding to go through day 1b, but also most of the POY top 5 with only David Baker missing to the call.

Other prestigious names include Michael Mizrachi, Fabrice Soulier, Eugene Katchalov, David Benyamine, David Vamplew or Antanas “Tony G”  Guoga who all came for day 1b and had a smooth journey to day 2.

Chip Leader is French singer Gregoire Boissenot, with 95,000 chips followed by Peter Jetten (83,575) and Matt Salsberg (83,575).

143 players will come back for day 2.
